Può una passeggiata diventare un momento sovversivo di autocoscienza? Possiamo trasformare paesaggi sonori in mappe anatomiche per l'autoesplorazione?
Aperto a tutti i corpi e a tutte le voci, il workshop In This Garden of Stars, I was, I can be introduce a una pratica performativa in cui il corpo, la voce e le immagini diventano strumenti di trasformazione piuttosto che mezzi di rappresentazione. Attraverso dolci esercizi fisici e vocali si è invitat* a connettersi al proprio corpo, a mettere in discussione le proprie abitudini di percezione, a decostruire qualsiasi gerarchia tra i sensi e a entrare in una nuova comprensione della propria immagine di sé. Gli esercizi cercano la profondità, la precisione e la completa mobilitazione di noi stess*, allenandoci a creare attraverso l'azione (a per-formare). Non è richiesta l'espressione di un talento, ma la comprensione del lavoro performativo come atto di presenza consapevole che ognun* di noi può abbracciare e a cui può relazionarsi.
Gli esercizi proposti nel workshop sono il risultato di un lavoro di ricerca in corso. Una newsletter con la descrizione pratica e la spiegazione di alcuni esercizi sarà inviata insieme a saggi sul percorso artistico-femminista delle Nemesiache, parte del progetto Our Truths flow Together With the Waves. Could a walk become a subversive moment of self-consciousness? Could we transform soundscapes into anatomical maps for self-exploration?
Open to all bodies and voices, the worksop In This Garden of Stars, I was, I can be introduces to a performative practice where body, voice and imagery become tools of transformation rather than means for representation. Through gentle physical and vocal exercises you are invited to connect to your body, question your habits of perception, deconstruct any hierarchy between the senses and enter new understandings of your self-image. The exercises seek depth, precision and a complete mobilization of ourselves, training us to create through action (to per-form). No expression of talent is required here but an understanding of performance work as a conscious act of presence that each of us can embrace and relate to. We all have inner and outer dimensions that communicate and can be communicated, explored, expanded, remapped. Could that bring us to transformations of the known into an unknown that asks to be?
The excercises proposed in the workshop are the result of an ongoing work of research. A newsletter including a practical description and explanation of some of the exercises will be sent out together with essays on the feminist artistic path of the Nemesiache from the project OUR TRUTHS FLOW TOGETHER WITH THE WAVES. ACCESSIBILITY NOTE
The workshop is conducted in spoken English, and questions or clarifications can be made in Danish, Italian, or German. The physical and vocal exercises proposed require no prior experience, and the intensity of these exercises can be individually adapted by the participants. However, a good level of attention and commitment is necessary throughout the entire workshop. Please note that a portion of the workshop will be held in open public space, aiming to actively engage participants with the urban environment through sensory walks and exploration.
